OneTrue are recruiting for a committed Senior Social Worker to work full time within the Care Planning & Court Team based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.
The pay rate for this Senior Social Worker role is £29.93 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Specific Role Information
The Care Planning & Court Team is responsible for Care Proceedings from granting of the Interim Care Order to granting of final orders and for Looked After Children aged 0 - 12 years of age.
You will be responsible for managing a complex caseload of Looked After Children and Care Proceedings. In your role, you will be required to provide Court assessments, Statements and Care Plans and present evidence to the Court to support the care planning recommendations. You will also have responsibility for planning for Looked After children on your case load. You will be required to have knowledge of Care Planning Regulations and ensure that your practise is compliant with such. Care Planning may include planned rehabilitation to birth family or family members following assessment, placement with friends or family through securing a legal order and adoption or long term fostering. Your work will need to be in adherence with PLO procedures and Court timescales. Timely permanency planning for Children is critical within this team.
The ability to engage and communicate with children is essential and to support children in care to reach their full potential. You will need to work closely with colleagues in Safeguarding, Fostering, Adoption and Friends and Family Teams.
