OneTrue are recruiting for a committed Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Chair to work full time within the Children's Care Team based in Swindon. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.


The pay rate for this Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Chair role is £41.00 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Requirements of the Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Chair

* Degree or equivalent in social work

* Current HCPC registration

* Relevant experience.


Specific Role Information

An Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Chair is required. The following experience is required: * 5 years post qualifying experience. * Experience of chairing complex meetings. * Experience of managing complex Child Protection and Children Looked After work. * Supervisory and management experience. * Expert knowledge of current and relevant child care legislation, guidance and procedures. * Skills and experience in communicating with children and young people. * Ability to assess risks and protective factors. * Ability to monitor, analyse and interpret information including quantitative and qualitative. * Ability to resolve conflict and negotiate effectively. * Experience of working in partnership with families. * Experience of multi-agency working. * Experienced in report writing and maintaining appropriate records. * Evidence of continuing professional development.
