OneTrue are recruiting for a committed Social Worker to work full time within the Fostering Team based in Wrexham. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.


The pay rate for this Social Worker role is £23.67 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Requirements of the Social Worker

* Degree or equivalent in social work

* Current HCPC registration

* Relevant experience.


Specific Role Information

Applications are sought from Social Workers to cover vacancies within Wrexham Fostering Service. The successful candidates will work within the Fostering Service to assess, supervise and support foster carers, complete annual reviews and source placements to meet the identified placement needs of looked after children within the Wrexham County Borough.

As part of Childrens' Social Care which is based in Wrexham, the fostering service shares positive working relationships with other social work teams, agencies and CSSIW.

The team consists of a supportive and approachable management team, committed social workers and business support team members who are all dedicated to the children and young people and the carers.

The roles and responsibilities of the post include supervision of foster carers, undertaking their annual reviews, and promoting the development of carers through training and support. The role also requires assessment skills in undertaking Form F assessments as well as connected persons assessments.

Experience of delivering training is desirable as there is an expectation to support the facilitation of the Skills to Foster course. The candidate will contribute to the duty rota tasks, seeking placements and responding to emergency situations.
