OneTrue are recruiting for a committed DoLS Best Interest Assessor to work part time within Adult Care based in Yate. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.

 

The pay rate for this DoLS Best Interest Assessor role is £35.00 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Requirements of the DoLS Best Interest Assessor

* Degree or equivalent in social work

* Current HCPC registration

* Able to demonstrate the councils values and behaviours

* Accredited qualification as a DoLS Best Interest Assessor

* Excellent communication knowledge and skills

* Experience of dealing with complex MCA and DoLS cases and working across partner organisations

* Significant post qualifying experience in adult social care

* Thorough knowledge of current MCA and DoLS legislation, case law and practice guidance

* You will demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, development of social care policy, regulations, and codes of practice, systems, initiatives, processes and procedures

* You will have a good level of general IT skills and the ability to use, or be trained in the use of, appropriate specialist in-house software packages

* You will have the ability to supervise others

* You will have good relationship building skills, which may involve dealing with emotive situations

* Desirable - experience of working with vulnerable adults, carrying out risk assessments and developing protection plans within adult protection policies and procedures

* Desirable - AMHP qualification

* Desirable - post qualification training or skills e.g. PQ Award, Practice Teaching Award.

 

Specific Role Information

This booking is for 18.5 hours per week (to include Tuesdays and Fridays however this can be discussed at interview.)

 

Initially the base will be a Badminton Road site, Yate, but the team is due to locate to the Kingswood Civic Centre within the next couple of months.

 

Essential criteria:

 

* Professional social work qualification: DipSW, CQSW or equivalent.

 

* Accredited qualification as DoLS Best Interests Assessor

 

* Significant post qualifying experience in adult social care.

 

* Experience of dealing with complex MCA and DoLS cases and working across partner organisations

 

Full clean driver's licence and access to a car (or able to use another appropriate means of travel) to travel to a range of locations.
