The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.

 

The pay rate for this Social Worker role is £28.00 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Requirements of the Social Worker

* Degree or equivalent in social work

* Current HCPC registration

* 5 years plus post qualified experience within an Assessment Team setting

* Strong assessment skills

* Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure

* Must be a car driver with access to own transport.

 

Specific Role Information

Bedford Borough Council are looking for a Social Worker for the Assessment Team based in Borough Hall, Bedford.

 

Pay rate:

LTD: £28ph

 

To carry a workload requiring exemplary practice in situations of high complexity, exercising a degree of autonomy. Regular supervision will be in accordance with the departmental supervision policy.

 

If required, to provide direct supervision to staff as directed by the Team Manager.

 

To work collaboratively with service users and their families to assess their needs and plan and deliver services in accordance with the social work team's service area.
