OneTrue are recruiting for a committed Child Protection Chair to work full time within the Child Protection Team based in Cambridgeshire. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.
The pay rate for this CP Chair role is £38.00 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Requirements of the CP Chair
* Degree or equivalent in social work
* Current HCPC registration
* Relevant experience.
Specific Role Information
A Child Protection Chair needs to be a qualified social worker with a minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience and needs to be registered with HCPC.
The successful candidate will need to travel across the county chairing multi-agency Child Protection conferences.
Prior to an Initial Child Protection Conference, a Review Child Protection Conference or a Transfer in Child Protection Conference Child Protection Chairs have to ensure they have read all relevant reports for the conference and have liaised with professionals attending the conference.
Child Protection Chairs are responsible for chairing large multi-agency child protection conferences, ensuring all relevant information is shared during the conference to help inform decision making and is responsible for ensuring SMART multi-agency Child Protection plans are produced at the end of the conference.
The Child Protection Chair has to track cases in between conferences to ensure there is no drift and delay, audit the Child Protection plan and raise escalations as per Cambridgeshire CP Escalation procedure.
