OneTrue are recruiting for a committed Social Worker to work full time within the Hospital's Emergency Departments based in Dorset. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.


The pay rate for this Social Worker role is £27.39 + £1.18 AWR (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Specific Role Information

2 experienced social workers are required to help assist with additional work due to winter pressures. The workers will be assessing people within the hospitals' Emergency Departments to explore alternatives to admission, be involved in discharge planning, and responding to rapid assessments in the community following discharge from hospital. One worker will be based at Dorset County Hospital based in Dorchester, and the worker will work flexibly across Royal Bournemouth Hospital or Poole General Hospital. All 3 hospitals have well established social work teams operating on site.


Experience in supporting effective and safe discharge from hospital is essential, as is sound working knowledge of MCA, Best Interest Decisions, DOLS. Building positive relationships with health and community agencies is also required.

Posts are 37 hours a week and will need to cover extended hours including some evenings and Saturday mornings.
