OneTrue are recruiting for a committed Rehabilitation Officer to work full time with Local Authority Hertfordshire County Council. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working in the same or a similar service, be very dedicated, personable and willing to contribute positively to the team and service to ensure the best and most appropriate outcomes are delivered. Applicants must have previous experience working with UK statutory services and hold valid HCPC registration.
The advertised pay rate for this Rehabilitation Officer role is £28 (Umbrella Company) per hour and is an ongoing contract.

Requirements of the Rehabilitation Officer Vacancy
· Degree or equivalent in social work
· Current HCPC registration
· Significant senior level frontline experience within the relevant specified field.
Specific Role Information
CANDIDATES MUST HOLD A PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION OF DIPLOMA/FOUNDATION DEGREE IN REHABILITATION STUDIES (VISUAL IMPAIRMENT).
This is a county wide service for adults and children resident in Hertfordshire with a sensory disability and includes Deaf, hard of hearing, visually impairment and deafblind and dual sensory loss. People may also have additional support needs if they have learning or physical disability or a mental illness.
The core functions of these posts include assessment of need, care coordination, agreeing and implementing care and support plans and the reviewing function
You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills , a sound grasp of Community Care Legislation including Safeguarding policies, have a sound working knowledge of this service user group which includes people with other sensory needs who require community care support and have a good track record of partnership working with the Independent, Voluntary Sector and other Statutory agencies.

Following assessment of need you will be responsible for devising and implementing the rehabilitation programmes and delivering mobility training. You will hold a professional qualification of Diploma/ Foundation degree in Rehabilitation studies or equivalent.
